Help Chopin

  Hi, my name is Zofia. I adopted Chopin, a small teriier, in 2007 and fell in love with him. It wasn't easy at first, because he was runner and would explore the neighborhood. With time he was more mellow. I was able to take him to many places because he was so calm. I just had a baby and Chopin became his guardian protector. Two weeks ago suddenly Chopin was very sensitive to the touch. He was obviously in a lot of pain. The Vet said he probably slipped a disc in his back. He got a steroid shot and pills for the next week. He seemed to do better then he went downhill again. I took him back to the Vet. and he got another shot and more meds. The next day I let him out in the morning and when I went to check on him he could not move his hind legs. He could only drag them behind him.  This time the Vet. said to take him to our local pet hospital for emergency surgery. At the hospital they removed a disc from his back that was causing the paralysis. He is doing better now, and since we acted quickly, he has a good chance of regaining the use of his hind legs again. Anyway, now I need help paying for the hospital bill. I thought about selling a kidney, but, I'm chicken.
