Help Charcoal Walk Again

5 months ago my kitty Charcoal lost all movement in her back legs. It was overnight and a unexpected shock! Her rear legs were paralyzed apparently due to a minor injury she had when she was a kitten. She was diagnosed as needing immediate MRI and possibly surgery to try to repair her disc and nerve damage. Even with the surgery I was told there was only a 50% chance she would recover movement of her legs. The only other options were that she would need constant care for the rest of her natural life or sending her to Heaven.

The emergency hospital visits, medications, tests, Ultra sounds, CAT scans and X-ray's have cost me well over $4000 already. I was able to get a Care Credit card, which offers no interest loans for a period of 6 months. Those are now due and the interest will jump to 29% if not paid by the end of the promotional term. The MRI, which is still needed, could still cost an additional $3000 which, at this point, is cost prohibited. She is still incontinent and has a urinary tract infection and, as a result, and will require more treatments and tests which will cost more.

It has been a long road and struggle for us but by her sheer will to live, she has regained 75% of her ability to walk. This precious girl has been through a lot with me and overcome several illness's along the way. Everyone loves her! You can't find a sweeter, softer one and she is as cool a cat as they come. I can't really imagine life without her. I would never ask for myself but she is my spirit animal twin. I know this is a lofty sum for a pet but she is one in a million!
