Sometimes you make a decision, not because it is the best one, but simply because you don’t have other choices. This is literally what happened with my cousins Ali and Osama, two brothers from Syria who had to leave their country in 2016 to avoid being involved in the ongoing war in Syria. The only option they had was going to Malaysia.
Ali studied chemical engineering and Osama studied Law. They speak English well. They are ambitious individuals and were full of hope until they came face to face with the ugly reality. After four years in Malaysia they lost all hope.
Upon their arrival to Malaysia, they tried very hard to start a new life away from war and battles, but unfortunately, this did not happen because refugees in Malaysia are not allowed to work, and if it happened that they found a job, they are considered illegal and the Police will take them into custody, which is another nightmare.
I am trying to save my cousins from this dire situation they live in now and I need your help. I am trying to bring my two cousins to Canada where I am sure they will do great and will live a peaceful and productive life and be great assets in this beautiful country.
I want to change their life and the only way to do that is to help them to stop being refugees and provide them with an opportunity to change their life. I am asking you to help me to achieve this goal.
I decided to form a Group of Five to sponsor refugees to settle in Canada.

Don’t underestimate any kind of support you can provide. I know Canadians very well after living here for three years and four months. I have a similar story and I came as a refugee. I promised my cousins to do my best to help them and change their life. I will succeed in bringing them here by doing the fundraising to secure the amount of money required by the Canadian government to sponsor refugees.
