Chance (along with 4 other dogs) was rescued in November from an very abusive home in Arizona and a small rescue has been networking him for a loving home. He was attacked on 12/13 by one of the dogs in his own pack. His injuries are horrific. During the first surgery his heart quit but they were able to revive him. He has many internal injuries and much muscle damage. Rally At Animal Abuse believe he deserves his chance at recovery. A Specialty Vet is reviewing his records to see if he can be repaired and have a quality of life worth fighting for. We have seen dogs survive worse and are now leading amazing lives. As long as Chance is up for it and his surgeons have a plan can we all give maybe $20.00 to help this boy. They can't proceed without some funds. We will be looking into the man how had starved them and possibly keeps them to fight and the other dog that did this to him will be handled by an expert – for now the goal is to save chance. The lady who has fostered him is taking a loan out on her 401K and has not paid her mortgage to help Chance. She is newly out of college, can some of us seasoned activist help Chance?Foster Mom’s words:Chance was rushed to Avondale's Emergency Animal Clinic Friday around 10pm. He was deep in shock and saturated in blood. He was immediately placed in critical condition and everyone was doubtful he was going to make it.Chance has proven that he's a fighter and has overcome the odds. Chance and 4 of his siblings were saved from a very abusive home near Thanksgiving and has come so far from the terrified puppy cowered in the corner. He has so much life to life and so much love to give. Please give this angel a chance to see what unconditional love really is.Unfortunately he is going to need a small fortune to survive. I have been without work since 12/11/14 and cannot do this alone. I have already exhausted all of my resources getting him through the first 24 hours. I spent close to $3,000 at the Emergency Clinic and another $5035.50 at North Buckeye Animal Hospital (as of 2/10/15). Please remember that this was just to stabilize his condition and ease his pain. The amount of damage to his body is still unknown and he faces a long road to recovery. His Vet is still unsure if Chance will ever walk again due to the extensive tissue and muscle damage. Chance has tons of wounds covering his entire body and the significance of his injuries has the veterinarian staff treating him like a burn patient and wrapping most of his body. The crushing damage to his body is also unknown and the Vet fears he has internal bleeding in his abdomen. Chance will require abdomen exploratory surgery to assess the internal damage. Once Chance's critical status has been changed to stable he will require numerous surgeries to repair the external damage.
