Hi everyone :)
I've recently finished university and was set out to start working and financing myself. The recent Covid-19 pandemic has been tough for the graduating class of 2020, myself having my internship cancelled due to these uncertain times.
The job search has been difficult so I decided to take this downtime to improve my skills. As a huge lover of animals, my childhood dream was to be a vet. But of course, I grew up realising I never could afford vet school. Nevertheless I'm still dedicated to working around animals and contributing to causes that improve animal welfare. I am a proud mom of 3 dogs, and I volunteer for animal shelters during my free days, even in the past whenever I travelled. I hope that being CCPDT-certified will eventually allow me to move on to help the situation of animal and wildlife (especially in Southeast Asian countries), where stray animals need our help.
I've been planning to become a professional pet trainer, because I believe strongly in helping pet owners build better relationships with their pets. I want to help those who are new to keeping a furry best friend become more knowledgeable about how best to take good care of them.
I've been saving up so I can start on my new venture, but the pandemic has indeed been hard on my finances. Plus due to flights being cancelled, I've not been able to fly home to be with my family. Covering my own expenses for groceries and rent and daily living hasn't been the easiest. Odd jobs are harder to find now with the corona-virus situation, and job opportunities are also less available for my peers and I. I really hope you can help me become CCPDT-certified, so a side hustle of being a pet trainer could help lessen my financial load. But most importantly, to provide better lives for domesticated animals still adjusting to their new homes.
Thank you again! I would appreciate your help in this new journey I'm embarking!
