Please help us raise funds for our mother, Celeste Dela Cruz, who is currently battling ovarian cancer. We have exhausted all our resources (including HMOs) from her last three hospitalization and need additional funds to cover incidental medical expenses; future chemotherapy sessions; and to prepare for any complication she might get while receiving medical treatment in fighting cancer.

Below are the details of her Hospitalization/Medical Treatment

April 7-12, 2021 (1st Hospitalization)

  • Confined because of difficulty in breathing
  • Tests showed Pleural Effusion (Excess fluid in the lungs)
  • Fluid was drained in both lungs
  • Diagnosed with Tuberculosis and took medication for TB but later discontinued due to severe head aches and jaundice (TB was later ruled out)

May 5-24, 2021(2nd Hospitalization)

  • Confined again due to difficulty in breathing and was intubated for 5 days in the ICU
  • Recurrence of Pleural Effusion
  • Pleural fluid analysis from last hospitalization showed malignancy (Tuberculosis was ruled out)
  • Experienced bloating due to ascites
  • Insertion of Pig Tail Catheter to drain pleural effusion
  • Paracentesis was performed to drain ascites
  • Cancer Diagnostic procedures were performed and results were Ovarian Cancer Stage IV

June 7, 2021 (Treatment)

  • 1st Cycle of Chemotherapy
  • Several days/weeks after the 1st cycle of chemo, experienced side effects such as diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pains, headaches and occasional fever
  • Fluids drained from her lungs started to decrease slowly.

July 5-28, 2021 –

  • Confined again because of severe abdominal pains and bloating
  • Recurrence of ascites
  • Edema in legs, ankles and feet
  • Hypokalemia; anemia; thrombocytopenia; performed blood transfusion
  • Insertion of abdominal drain to remove ascites
  • Abdominal drain showed intra-abdominal abscess and ascites
  • Removal of Pig Tail Catheter on the left lung because there are no more fluids draining
  • CT Scan showed decrease in the size of the tumor
  • Recovering to gain strength for the next cycles of chemotherapy
  • Looking for Naturopathic Doctor

Thank you very much to those who are willing to help and join the fight of my mother against cancer. Your love and support to my mother is very much appreciated!

God bless you and your family!

THANK YOU!!!
