Hello! My name is Caroline and I'm 25 years old, living in Jerusalem Israel. I was born here, grew up here and until now I never wanted to be anywhere else.
I recently got accepted for the master's program in Work and Organizational Psychology in Maastricht University! A dream coming true!!
But after funding my bachelor's degree by myself and due to the effects of Covid this past year, I don’t have the sufficient funds I need. I am working full time to be able to pay my tuition, but it is not nearly enough money. I never asked for anything, I believe in hard work and always did my best, but when the pandemic started, I had to move back to my parents because I couldn't afford paying for my studies along with everything else. Eventually I succeeded, paid tuition and got my degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Now I have this amazing opportunity to continue my studies, but I can't afford it. The tuition fee for this programme is 16,000 € and that is not including the moving to a new country cost, paying rent, and living expenses. In addition I couldn't find any scholarship eligible for Israelis or non EU citizens.
I chose studying psychology so I can one day give back and help others to change their lives. In order for me to do so, can you help me change mine?
Thank you for your support, your prayers, and your thoughtful contributions.
It is in times like this when we find how much support there is in a community…
Remember: kindness spreads, you just need to be the first one to toss the pebble and see how far the ripple spreads.
