Help for Carl

Carl is a 60-Year-old War Veteran from Chicago, Illinois, and needs urgent help.

Carl was with the US Army in the 1. Gulf War and was wounded at the neck by a Shrapnel on 02. February 1991. After discharge, he was working for the Union Pacific Railroad from 1991 to 2014. He was fired from Union Pacific due to Economical Cuts in the Company. Then he found new Work at a Real Estate Company for Industrial Property. He was sent to Work at the Companies Office in Bangkok/ Thailand in the end 2014.

In Thailand, Carl meet Shorn, and the happy couple got married in 2015. Carl left the Real Estate Company and opened with his Wife a Restaurant in her Home City where the Couple hat a Good and Happy Life until early 2018 Shorn got diagnosed with 4 stage Cancer. Shorn died 3 months later, and Carl was a broken Man. He needed to sell the Restaurant and survived by taking hard Jobs at Construction sites.

Beginning of 2020 Carl health started to decrease fast, he had problems moving his Arms and Hands without pain and could not work anymore. Today, Carl can hardly move at all without heavy pain. 3 Months ago we, his Friends, paid for an MRT at a Local Hospital here in Thailand.

The MRT turned out there was a small Shrapnel leftover from the Surgery in 1991 after his War injuries which has moved over the years and lodged its self between the 6 and 7 Vertebra.

If the shrapnel moves further, it will most likely sever the Nerves and Carl will die.

Carl requires an urgent Surgery to remove the Shrapnel and save his life.

Carl tries since more than 1 year to apply for disability pension but so far has always been rejected by the US Government or US Army which are responsible for his current state.

This Man went to War to Serve his Country when he was needed, now he needs help from this Country, but being left to die from the Nation he once risked his life for.

Carl requires 9500 USD for the Surgery and Medical Treatments afterwards.

After recovery, Carl planing to return to the US.

Carl was always a Happy and funny gay, helping others and never ask for anything in return. I hope we will not let him down, so please help he deserves it.
