CARL NATHAN ENRIQUEZ: THE YOUNG WARRIOR WITHIN
Please help Carl Nathan Enriquez, 9 year old and a grade 3 pupil from Brgy. San Juan, Balagtas, Bulacan. He is the youngest in a brood of two. Carl Nathan has been battling leukemia since he was 6years old. His mother, Angeline is a plain housewife while his father, Marvin is working as a construction worker earning P450/day to support his family. The chemotherapy treatment is expensive thus, Carl Nathan’s parents are struggling to make ends meet.
In 2018 Carl Nathan had some bruises in different parts of the body. He underwent bone marrow analysis at Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) where he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). Unable to do his chemotherapy treatment at the PCMC as they are living in a far-flung area, they sought medical treatment at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Malolos, Bulacan, way closer to their home.
In March 2021, three (3) years after his chemotherapy treatment, Carl went into relapse. Much to the dismay of his family but they knew that things happen for a reason. And they are not backing down! The family is fighting alongside Carl Nathan, and determined more than ever to win the battle, this time around!
CARL NATHAN ENRIQUEZ BEYOND LEUKEMIA
Pre-pandemic, Carl was attending regular face to face classes while undergoing chemotherapy. He was always top 5 in his class. And he often represented his school in mathematics competition. But do you know that he wants to be like Mr. Boy Logro in the future! Yes, a Chef! It’s no surprise to his parents though, growing up, Carl Nathan had always enjoyed playing with cooking set toys. Uhmmm.. I wonder what the menu and specialty he will be offering us?
His childhood has been robbed off him as he endures the treatment everyday of his life. Let us help Carl Nathan achieve his dream! By helping him fund his chemotherapy treatment, we are giving him a better fighting chance in life!
