Help Care for Wonder Mum, Emma

Meet my mum, Emma, a strong 68 year old mother of five and grandmother to three amazing boys.

We call her Mrs. Congeniality because everywhere she goes, she almost always would make a new friend. From tricycle drivers, grocery store cashiers, tindera sa palengke or bakery, neighbors even from a few streets away, they know our Mum and lovingly call her Nanay.

Four months ago she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease due to her diabetes and had to go through dialysis. Unfortunately, since she started doing dialysis she has experienced all the adverse side effects of the procedure. What we hope would help relieve all the aches and pains has sent her to the hospital 3 times in the last 4 months. And this last stay in the hospital is proving to be even more difficult for her.

Last July 20, 2017 she was rushed again to the hospital because her blood pressure went down to 70/40 and had difficulty breathing. She was later diagnosed of pneumonia, anemia and other complications. Despite that, our Mrs. Congeniality continues to fight and as friendly and cheerful as ever, greeting the doctors, nurses and other hospital attendees even with her weak smile and faint hello.

Our Nanay Emma needs to continue her dialysis and blood transfusion, and battle off other complications caused by CKD and diabetes. She needs help for her continued medical care.

Our family and friends were able to pool together the initial funding needs for her hospital, admission, medicines, and laboratories, however, we are at the end of our funds and would like to implore kindness and generosity to help her get the medical care she needs.
