Dear friends and family,

An incredible opportunity for growth and development has presented itself this summer, and I’d love to share it with you.

Throughout the summer, I will be involved in the beginning phases of an internship position at LaRed Business Network, an organization dedicated to developing leaders, instituting change in businesses, governments, and churches, and changing the world through Kingdom values and principles.

Through the internship, I will be travelling with LaRed to five cities in Guatemala, supporting Jose Briz and the Mariano Galvez University. The five-city tour is to attract students and leaders of each city to see the impact of the Human Development course sponsored by LaRed. The internship position is in its early stages of development, and will involve interacting with current leaders and developers that will challenge me to grow

My passion is people. This fact has driven me to look for avenues to fuel and develop this passion. In this past year at Indiana Wesleyan University, my position as an RA was the fuel for this passion. This internship now presents itself as an even larger source of fuel for growth in this area. I believe this growth will provide a very unique opportunity to invest in the Kingdom. Part of this will be through the use of the talents God has given me and part of this will be learning from the leaders and developers I will have the chance to meet and study under.

This internship is honestly a bit scary. There’s the factor of the unknown that goes along with a job like this – the factor of not knowing exactly where this opportunity will take me or who it will put me in front of. It is from these unknowns that I ask you to be with me in thoughts and prayer. I wish to make the most of this job that God has placed in my path – that God’s favor would be over safety, interactions with people, travel, finances, and anything else the job might entail.

If you are interested, there is a need for financial support. As mentioned previously,, part of this internship will involve travelling to Columbia and Guatemala to further study under leaders and learn how LaRed is impacting the world. The quote above is an inspiration to me for the summer – it is my goal to push myself. It is my goal to grow into the man that God created me to be. A large portion of that is going to come from finding and learning from people through this internship. It would honestly mean the world if you would consider giving any amount toward travelling for the summer. The total cost I am aiming to raise for travel and living expense is $2000.
