Campaign Story
Our dear cousin, Cai, is currently confined in a public hospital in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. She just delivered her 2nd baby, Blaire, 1 month short of full term, in Caesarean section. Both were tested for Covid-19. On one hand we are relieved that Baby Blaire was tested negative. However, Cai tested positive with Covid-19.
Baby Blaire was confined for 7 days and was treated with antibiotics. Cai is battling Covid-19 and currently have severe symptoms. As of writing, she will need 3 to 4 sessions of hemoperfusion amounting to P35,000 per session and 7 doses of Remdesivir at P10,000 per dose. Cai’s husband, Gab, tested negative with Covid-19. However, after staying with Blaire at the pedia isolation ward, he forwarded to the Covid ward and currently at Cai’s bedside to tend to her needs. At this point, Cai needs more help as she cannot move because she just delivered a baby. We are crossing our fingers and praying that Gab will be spared from the virus and that both Gab and Cai will be negative once they come out of the hospital.
At this rate, their hospital bill is expected to balloon to almost 400k. This includes medicines, fees for lab reports (to monitor Cai’s progress), oxygen tank, fees for Cai’s CS delivery, 3 sessions of hemoperfusion, and the 7 doses of Remdesivir.
We are knocking the door of your hearts and asking for help to ease their hospital bills.
