To all my friends, family and good samaritans:

It has been a testing year for my family on so many levels but through faith, love and commitment, we have gotten through and have grown strong.

This fundraiser is for so many important reasons. It will not only help an individual and our family but an entire community come together and will help locals with temporary jobs, housing and clean drinking water.

     My husband inherited land in Africa from his father who worked so hard his entire life to leave something for his sons. His father sacrificed so much to acquire this for them and left this earth very young. I have watched my husband for years try all he can to make everything work for me and our kids and all those in need. We are from two different worlds but found eachother in Chicago 10 1/2 years ago and have overcome all the obstacles that so many people have been unable to do. His fathers dream and now my husbands dream is to build for a community- This can become a reality with your help.

     It is a large amount, but with help we can achieve our goal. With God's will the land he has will be built with homes and shops and a well for those in the community. My children and I have come back to the United States and have chosen to be temporarily apart from him only by miles. This is to try and help with the expenses of living overseas and to help as we can to see the dream of generations come true.
