The Anja Charity Foundation is building a Women Empowerment Center to train local women in various activities like sewing, batik design, food making, and soap making. The purpose of the center is to provide women with the necessary skills to generate an income and ultimately improve their living conditions.
The center will be run by both local people and skilled volunteers who will train the women. After successful training the women will be equipped with start up tools and a small loan to start their own business.
Currently, the Center is in the construction process. The community of the Volta region donated the land for the project. However, to finish the construction and buy the furniture and training materials, the Anja Charity Foundation is seeking support from donators.
I am collaborating with the founder and executive manager of the Foundation, Alfred Nyasem to support the Women Empowerment Center. I will spend this summer in Ghana to work on the project hands-on with the aim to open the Center as soon as possible. While I am in Ghana, I will already start providing courses on financing and running small businesses and train the above mentioned skills.
If this speaks to you, you have the opportunity to support the project.
Every kind of help is appreciated.
