Dear Friends from all around the world,

On behalf of our bhakti yoga community, we are reaching out for your financial support. These have been challenging times for the world and for our community. Still, in the face of this, pandemic Madhuri Kunja Ashram keeps on spreading the light as much as possible with daily programs, prasadam distribution and seva. We are trying to keep everyone in good spirit.

According to Vedic astrology, these dark times are not yet finished. Some challenges are still ahead of us. As many astrologers explain, nothing is coincidental - humanity is paying its debts, as the bad karma is catching up with us. This is largely due to the extreme violence that we have been showing to mother nature, natural resources and living entities. Meat and dairy industry is overexploiting animals only for the pleasure of human senses.

Ancient Vedic scriptures state that if an individual is donating for cow maintenance, one is not only liberating oneself from the sinful reactions, but is also helping to liberate the entire family. The one who supports and takes care of cows receives immense blessings of wealth, well-being and prosperity upon oneself and their successors.

Cow is a sacred animal in Indian culture that symbolizes life, wealth, strength and abundance. Therefore, we are obliged to protect and nurture all cows for the benefit of the entire humanity.

Here at Madhuri Kunja ashram, we are blessed to serve two baby cows that we have saved from the slaughterhouse. They are happily living and gazing in the property of our ashram. However, as the baby Kunda and Campaklata are growing, we are having some practical difficulties. Their shed is becoming too small and even though they are mostly gazing in the fields, we need to prepare for the cold season in Lithuania, which lasts for 9 months. Since our ashram is in the middle of the regional park, where a lot of wild animals are living, the cows also need a safe and warm shelter at night. Therefore, we are gathering donations for the building of a new cow shed that would serve both in summer and winter times.

From the Vedic astrology perspective, donating for cows:

  • Grant relief from all kinds of planetary afflictions in the birth chart
  • Destroy sorrows
  • Absolve the sins of your present and past lives
  • Bestow with marriage, progeny and prosperity blessings
  • Help mitigate the malefic effects of Sade Sati (71/2-year period of Saturn), Ashtama Sani (Saturn in the 8th house) and Ardhashtama Sani (Saturn in the 4th house), Rahu – Ketu afflictions in the birth chart
  • Help overpower enemies
  • Bestow with divine grace of Goddess Lakshmi and progeny blessing
  • Remove obstacles in career and business
  • Protect from the danger of accidents
  • Bestow with wealth, prosperity and victory in all endeavors

All of your donations will go directly for the building of a cow shed.

At the end of 2019, we were supported with donations from the community members to establish the ashram in the regional park in Lithuania. We are practicing the art of service, aspiring to live life in a non-violent, gentle, supportive and spiritual way, helping those around us along the way. Here a small group of devoted
