My name is Anker Wainwright,

we are asking help to build a tiny home for my wife and I.

why do we need help to do this?

I have a hidden disability that limits my income.

The banks will not give us a Loan or Lines of Credit, do to income below the eligible min.

I do not have family or that many friends that can help.

we live way below the Canada Poverty Line .

more on  my disability see my blog

why is it inportant to us to build this home?

To have a place that we can call our own.

A place that I can retire at.

To be independant.

can grow our own food.

not to pay rent.

cut back on cost ie; power, water.

I can have a work shed to do my hobby's, this is needed now.

I have seen plans for tiny solar home, which interests me a great deal, and I told myself that it will be a green home. The home will be 100% off grid; a self -contained, solar, wind and water building, with reused amd recycled materials ( most of which will be  bought from Restore, a local agency, which is owned by Habitat for Humanity. The funds that they receive will help them build a home for a famly in need). I will work on the home in stages, and as my body, time, and patience will allow.

The home will be on a 100 yr family-owned working sheep ranch and will be used as a retreat and retirement home, till then others can ues it that need a getaway (church group, people with similar disablities, etc.)

Please the vist the web website

You see why it the ideal place the have a getaway.

My  hope is to build more than just one home. People can use it for the week, or weekend, or maybe longer.

We will need approximately $20K to complete one house. All of the funds will go direcly into the house itself. Everything that will be used for the house will cost more, because of it's solar and off-grid quality. It will not be a convential home.

here is more on the build

This home would have very little carbon footprint, which is important to us and to the environment.

If we don't get our entire needed funds, we will still be able to start on the building, and will be able to finish off when we are able to get the rest of our    funds.

Also the build will be recorded as a DYI docmentry to show that people with a disability can do the work. This will also be posted on YouTube. We will also tell you on how building green works.

WHY THIS CAMPAIGN IS SO  WORTH FUNDING:

It will help  more than just me; it helps the ranch and community  the people that visit.

The house is going to be unique,  good for the environment. (green), and you can say you had a part in building it.

You are supporting someone trying to do something unique and inspirational.

Because this project isn’t just about me building a tiny house, but about all the others allowing themselves the ability to go for it even though it’s hard.

It keeps dreams alive.

Evry dollar counts so Please help fund  or get the word out.
