Hey guys! My name is Uno and I am currently living at an animal sanctuary in Thailand! I have lived at the sanctuary for most of my short life (I'm only 6 months old!). The lovely humans who look after me here say that I was the very first dog to live at the new sanctuary, so I'm kinda a big deal...

My life started out on the streets, which is a tough place to be for a small pup. I had a terrible skin disease that made me itchy all the time, plus I had a couple really big cysts growing on me that made being a puppy not so fun. To top it all off, I am blind in one eye (though nobody is sure why) so living on the streets was really dangerous for me. A lovely woman named Denise rescued me, and I got to live with her at her house while her sanctuary was still being built. I was really sad, and really scared, at first. I hid under her bed a lot for the first few weeks, but Denise never stopped loving and caring for me. I slowly got healthier and happier, and got to move into the sanctuary!

I love it at the sanctuary because I have dog friends to play with, and there are lots of nice humans that give me treats. But lots of people and pets come to the sanctuary to visit the nice veterinarian here, and all those new noises and smells make me nervous, preventing me from living my best life.

Here's the good news! A lovely couple who live in Canada want to adopt me! Even though Denise says I'm her baby, she says my new family will love me just as much! They are going to spend lots of time letting me adjust and get used to all the new experiences in a new country. They also want to take me on adventures to this place called the beach (which I hear is a really fun place for a pup!)

Right now there's this nasty disease going around called Covid-19 (maybe you humans have heard of it?). Because volunteers aren't allowed to travel to Thailand, there are no flight volunteers to take me on a plane to Canada. The next best option is for me to be sent via cargo, but this costs quite a bit more money than the flight volunteer option. This is where all you amazing humans come in! Would you help me and my new family raise the neccesary funds to pay for the additional cargo cost? We would be forever grateful, and I'm sure my new family would be happy to share lots of photos of me and my adventures in Canada.

Love & licks!

Uno
