Help bring my Papa Bernie home

UPDATE: As of this morning the 1st of September, papa has gone home to our Father above. No more sickness and suffering. My family is eternally grateful to the people who offered prayers and financial assistance. God bless your kind hearts.

Yes!

Not everyone has the ability to always be positive and encouraging even in difficult times. In this lifetime, we only often see a few people who can lift themselves up on any challenging situation. My papa Bernie is one of those YES persons. These past few years, his motivational attitude has inspired others and even brought him closer to the our Lord.

Twice he suffered stroke and had him confined in the hospital but after several attempts on self-therapy and pushing himself to the limit, he was able to regain enough strength that brought him to different places even when he was alone. The more did his faith in the Lord was strengthened because of these situations that happened to him. He did not give up and even does his very best to share the Word of God to others.

On the afternoon of my birthday Aug 23rd, my mama called and told me that my papa Bernie was rushed to the ER. He was found at home with vomit all over the place and seemed to have lost full control of his body and consciousness. It was a very devastating moment for all of us and we don't know what could happen next. The doctors mentioned terms like aneurysm, clipping, ruptured vessels, if still operative, blood in his head that needs to be removed - we don't have a final diagnosis as of yet but he is currently in ICU getting stabilized. A lot more tests are needed to be able to fully determine the cause.

We request for your prayers for a successful treatment and recovery and strength & resilience for my family in this trying time.
