To start off, thank you each and everyone for the overwhelming generosity and tremendous support you have given to Charie and her family. Their family is deeply touched and humbled by the love and support shown to them. Together we have made them feel less alone and gave them the strength needed throughout this process.

Some good news and updates on Charie's current state. In the last update, I had informed you that she's had her wounds fully closed and skin grafts completed. The skin grafts did take 80-90% which is still a success considering that there was some difficulty encountered getting viable skin to use. Again, we could not thank Brod Dr. Cj Montes enough for taking this on and helping Charie. This was certainly not an easy feat.

With her wounds now closed, Charie is being discharged home on medications and dressing changes. She will be going in for further treatments with her doctors as outpatient and on a regular basis for her wound checkups. Ashley will be assisting her Mama through this process providing necessities and immediate care. We are all hoping that this plan works and no further issues arise as she goes through recovery.

We also wanted to let everyone know that this fundraiser will be coming to an end on Wednesday, December 8th. A few people have asked about making further contributions and donations and of course you can. With Charie being home and healing, it only makes sense that the help you willingly give go directly to her. So I do ask for you to reach out to her directly on Facebook or if you want to remain anonymous, send her the funds to her posted accounts. Also, all prayers and positive thoughts are welcomed and appreciated. Please also feel free to reach out to any of us, Charie's friends from Gamma Sigma Sorority, if you wish to pass along encouraging messages to her and we would be happy to share.

We have officially turned over all funds on hand to Charie as of Friday, December 3rd, the overall total amount (money on hand) being 228, 089.52 PHP as of this update being posted. Any amount donated after will be forwarded to Charie through bank transfer. Kindly click on below link for the tracked list of contributions, transfers to Charie's account and receipts.

If there is anything that we could all learn from through this experience, we all can appreciate, now more than ever that every minute matters and to prioritize our wellness to be there for our loved ones. Don’t wait until tomorrow. It’s not about the days or weeks, it’s all about those little moments. Cherish every second that we have.

Again, thank you all for your kind words, donations and support through these trying times. The generosity we have received in this campaign has been simply amazing.

We will be forever grateful to each and every one of you.

A simple thank you seems inadequate to express our appreciation to everyone who has contributed to Charie's cause. Since our last update, Charie has had a couple more major surgeries completed. The procedures she's undergone were meant to close large wounds that also entailed skin grafting to cover the areas affected. We hope that the skin grafts take and help conceal the heavy scarring that is an outcome of her condition. All these procedures were also made possible by our GSS brod Dr. Cj Montes who selflessly extended his plastic surgery expertise pro bono. Full recovery wouldn't even have been up for discussion without his support throughout this process.

Even though it's a long road to complete healing for Charie, she's optimistic and getting better each day. Your help and generosity is astounding especially with so much going on in our communities and the world at large when there are so many other important causes to support and people needing help. So with that being said we have no expectations for any help you could give. And if you are able to donate to help her, please know that any amount and kind healing thoughts is so greatly appreciated.

Your generosity has made an impact and help Charie focus on what matters most.

Salamat!

On behalf of Charie and her family, we thank you all for your continued prayers, love, support and well wishes for Charie.

Since our last update, Charie has undergone a couple of procedures to help manage her wounds. GSS Brod Dr. Cj Montes has went above and beyond with helping manage Charie's care by providing his expertise during these procedures with another one scheduled Monday, November 23rd.

Charie is still facing this long uphill battle toward full recovery but being one step closer means a lot and with your continued support, this burden is easier to bear.

Every bit of help counts. Thank you.

Hello,

Charie and her family are so overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for this medical campaign. We thank you for the kindness you have given her whether encouraging words or financial support, this challenge is easier to face with having this community showing up for her in this time of need.

There is a setback in Charie's condition. Further assessments show that it will be a long road to recovery whether it is looking at the best case scenario for her prognosis or the opposite. Since the last update, Charie has undergone a couple more debridement procedures with another one scheduled on Thursday, November 18th. She has been continuously transfused with several units of blood and may potentially require more in the near future. We have so far been lucky to get help from GSS sis Bheng Jonatas and GSS Brod Rizal Huelgas in securing some units for the most recent procedure and upcoming one. If you or anyone you know are able to help on this end, kindly reach out to this email:

[email protected]

You may also notice that the amount of donations on the actual platform has not updated yet. It is currently tracked and logged in offline donations. The Paypal personal account was created for the purpose of this campaign and the verification process takes some time. If you are interested in donating through other platforms in the meantime, kindly consider the other modes of contribution posted. We have a long way to go before we reach the amount targeted but we remain hopeful and optimistic in this journey with Charie.

Please keep the positive vibes going.
