I have been very blessed to be a husband to Rachel Rebadomia. She is not just a wonderful wife but a caring and loving mother to our two kids of 14 years and 11 years but also a wonderful person. She is hardworking and being loved by her friends and colleague being such a quiet but sweet person. I was amazed by the overwhelming support of our family and friends when this trial struck us. Life is unfair but have to accept this. I have a God, bigger than all of this and who strengthens me.
My wife was diagnosed with Lupus 2 years ago and has been quietly in battle with this auto immune disease. Later part of this year, she is not feeling good and I know very well that something is wrong though she is telling me that she is fine. I brought her to the hospital on Dec 26 and after series of tests, it was confirmed that it is the LUPUS(SLE) attacking her system and that her kidney was severely damaged. She has been hospitalized for almost two weeks and was out of the hospital with the hope that she is on her way to recovery. She was able to celebrate with us the New Year and I really thank God for that. That is all she wanted, being with her family. But then again, after a month, January 27, I brought her back to the hospital due to canker sores which I believe is caused by her weakening immune system. She can’t eat well. Lupus is very aggressive and has affected her heart and lungs. Her condition became seriously ill. She has two counts of cardiac arrest and pass out for 7 and 2 minutes respectively. We all thought that this is the end but God is good and my wife is a warrior! Just like me, she don’t easily give up and keep fighting for her life. She is in the ICU having life support. ECMO machine which replaces the function of her lungs and heart and the other is ventilator to help her breathe normally. Simultaneously, dialysis is also ongoing. The doctors has made her sedated and unconscious so that she can’t feel the discomfort and the pain caused by all the medical apparatus attached to her body.
It is very difficult for us and especially for her but I know she wants to live and I will never give up on this battle. I want her to survive for my kids.
The treatment has brought a large financial burden to our family and has reached more than 2M already. I need your love and fervent prayers! I am appealing to your good hearts for donations and support. Any amount will be highly appreciated since treatment is still ongoing .
Thank you so much in advance and God Bless!
Jun Spiro T. Rebadomia.
