My name is Kinni, originally from Nigeria, in West Africa, and for some time, I have desired to pursue the training necessary to strengthen and fine-tune my creative skills, however, I have not been able to afford the cost of funding such an education.
In the past, I had been offered admission to Parsons School of Design for an Associates Degree in Fashion Design, (ranked #4 in the 2016 QS World University Ranking: Art & Design). While I was excited for this opportunity, as it would give me the ideal foundational training necessary to set me up for success in the Fashion Design industry, I was unable to raise the funds needed and that opportunity slipped by.
My long-term goal is to be an entrepreneur and to start a social enterprise that trains other women in creative skills and equips them to start their own businesses.
I would love to try another attempt at raising funds to attend a comprehensive Fashion Design program that will equip me with design and business skills needed to launch my career. This time, at a renowned School of Fashion--The Fashion Academy--back in my home country, where the cost of tuition is less expensive. This time, I am trying out a campaign with the hopes that I will receive support through compassionate donors.
Any donation would be highly appreciated to reach my goal of raising funds to further my education. Thank you so much for your generosity!
