Hello Everyone! My name is Charnica Bridges and I'm a resident of Spartanburg, South Carolina. I'm sure many of you have heard about the disaster that's taken place in our State. A few have reached out to me and I'm blessed to say I've encountered no flooding or damage too close to my home... but it's done some work on my heart.
I'm hosting a community/social media fundraiser through November 7, 2015 in which ALL donations will be used in relief efforts to aid South Carolina Flood Victims.
People have lost their homes, cars, and even loved ones. Roads and businesses have been destroyed and victims are stuck with no electricity, necessities, food or water. When incidents like this occur, we should take a stand in promoting love & support however we can. Use your voice to raise awareness for a great cause. Take a step forward in helping our neighbors in a time of need. I'm requesting donations of $5-20 however all gifts are welcome and greatly appreciated.
After the fundraiser ends I'm looking to have at least 5 volunteers go with me to one of the cities that have seen the worst (Charleston, Columbia, Greenwood). On Saturday, November 14th at 8AM we will present the gift collected and let them know they are not alone. Those who attend, please feel free to bring donations of toiletries (soap, toothpaste, etc.), lightly used winter clothes, and jackets.
In advance I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to all who took the time to read &participate in either sharing this post or giving.
Best,
Charnica Bridges
