My name is Botlhale Modisaotsile, I am a student from Rhodes University who recently obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political and International Studies and Economics. I have accepted a final offer to study a Bachelor of Arts Honours specializing in Economics this year, however, I am unable to register due to the fact that I need to pay an initial fee payment (IFP) of R23834.38. If this amount is paid off successfully (through this fundraising method) before or on the 1st of March 2021, I will be able to register for my Honours Degree, which I will work hard to obtain at the end of the year. I am an individual who was previously funded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) during the course of my undergraduate studies and the funding applications I have made for my studies this year have not responded yet and by the time they respond (April), it will be too late for me as the registration deadline would have passed by that time (1 March). I want to be clear, the money will be going straight to the Rhodes University account. I really want to reach for the stars and take myself places through education, but that cannot be possible if I cannot register. Covid-19 is a pandemic that has shaken the economy and as a result, the family and I are not financially able to settle an IFP in our current state. I really hope you have read this message with careful eyes and a refreshed mind.
