Campaign Story
It's almost Christmas. We're still plagued by the pandemic, a lot of people lost their jobs during the pandemic, and now, a category 5 typhoon hit us.
And there are still more places worse than this.
Here's the situation;
- Total power shutdown
- No water supply
- Limited signal and communications
- Diesel and gasoline are running low on supply
- Still, no or less help from the local government
- Many people lost their houses and are in evacuation centers with supplies that are going low.
- It can take up to 1-2 months to restore and get things back to normal.
We're all suffering and we're doing everything we can to get through this. But there are people who are really suffering worse than us. They don't have any means or funds to get food supplies and things they need.
And so, I'm asking for your help. We are the ones who got it better as we still have some supplies, but we want to extend help to those who are less fortunate than us in this situation. In the spirit of Christmas, we want to assemble care packages and deliver them to at least 100 households, if possible. Here's what will be in the care packages.
- 5 kilos of rice
- 5 liters of bottled water
- Canned goods and instant noodles
- Biscuits
- Solar lights (if still available)/flashlights and batteries
- Milk for little kids and babies affected
- Soap, shampoo, and toothpaste for hygiene
Our target is to gather a P2500 worth of package per household and get it to at least 100 households.
This may look like a small thing but any kind of help will be hugely and greatly appreciated in this situation.
