Help Bobby Acevedo Fight Covid19 Complications

Our brother, BOBBY ACEVEDO, needs our help to survive Covid19 infection and complications. He has been in the hospital for almost a month now. He was admitted on June 7, 2021 at the Queen of Mercy Hospital, Bacolod City, Philippines, due to difficulty breathing and low oxygen saturation. His fever went on and off 3 days prior to admission, but due to non-availability of hospital rooms, he was not immediately admitted. He was initially diagnosed with Pneumonia, which progressed to Fibrosis in the lungs, needing higher antibiotic administration. He was already in critical condition, further aggravated by unstable blood sugar as he is diabetic. Upon admission, his swab test result showed he was positive of Covid19, which prompted his doctors to have him undergo several treatments from the start of confinement until present time, including Convalescence Plasma transfusion, 3 sessions of Hemoperfusion, Tocilizumab administration, plus various antibiotics. He was attached to an oxygen high flow machine for 15 days and used up to 200 oxygen tanks. Even with all these treatments, he still has difficulty breathing, thus his doctor recommended a CT angiogram of his lungs and heart to further check his condition. As of writing (July 4, 2021), he is still in the hospital, still has trouble breathing when he gets up, and will have to undergo Pulmonary Therapy soonest for the recovery of his lung condition. The current hospital bill is now exceeding 1 million pesos, excluding doctors’ fees.

Even after Bobby gets home it will be a long and hard road for recovery. We are hoping that he will defeat the odds. I, along with my brother’s wife, Cynthia, and our siblings, appeal for your prayers and whatever financial aid you can share for his current medical bills, treatments and other financial needs for Bobby’s recovery/healing after hospitalization. Every bit of support, financial or otherwise, will be greatly appreciated, and would be a huge help toward his full recovery.
