My name is Patrick McCarthy in New Orleans. I had a massive stroke in October 2010. It took 3 days for my friends to find me on the floor as I was living by myself. Due to the damage to my brain, my memory is totally messed up. Sometimes I think my mother is still alive. Sometime I can't remember those friends who know me more than 10 years. More than that, I lost my eye sight completely. The right side of my body is totally paralyzed so I can't sit on my own. My doctor said that these conditions would not be recovered.I am in a nursing home with special care. They treat me nicely. I am on so many medication to control my blood pressure level and other conditions, espcially to make me feel less anxious so I won't keep screaming in the hallway.  It is hard for me to understand what's going on around me. Even if someone explains to me something, I can remember that only for few minutes.I need some finalcial help. Not forever. Just for now. I have several payments I am going to be finishing within a year. Once they are completed, I should be OK. But for now, I have almost $30,000 balance with the nursing home that I need to pay off by the end of this year. I have my property tax to pay off for this year before the next year one starts. If I can raise $50,000 here, I can survive.  I really need your help. Really. Otherwise I would be kicked out from this Non-profit nursing home and I have nowhere else to go.Thank you for your great help. I really really appreciate this site. And my friends who set this up for me.
