Hello Everyone!
This campaign is to help raise money for a plane ticket to bring my best friend Asa to Florida, so she can attend my college graduation in May. We had enough money to do it, but we were both hit with large, unexpected medical bills this month.
Here’s our story: we’ve been best friends for nearly 15 years. 12 years ago, I moved several states away with my family, and in that time we managed to grow closer and closer until we were--despite the distance--inseparable.
In those 12 years, we’ve only gotten to see each other once. Now, after 5 years of college, I’m graduating in May! The only graduation gift I asked for was my best friend to be able to come visit and attend my graduation.
Gifts from family members went into savings for the plane ticket, but then in the past week I was hit with some unplanned and emergency medical expenses, and then a car repair bill. All the savings have gone towards that, and now we’re back to square one. We’ve spent the last two days devastated.
So now we are trying to raise money for one round trip plane ticket for her to visit me for the week of college graduation. All that matters is being able to buy the plane ticket, so she can come down.
Asa is an amazing person, and a wonderful friend. She is always helping out other people, and trying to make the world a better place. From volunteering at several different food pantries, to counselling teenagers online, to going to young mother’s houses and helping them clean, she’s always thinking of other people. She’s the sole caretaker of her recently (and hopefully temporarily) disabled mother, and hasn’t had a day off in months.
Her being able to attend my graduation would be a gift for both of us. Please help us raise enough to buy a round-trip plane ticket for May.
