HELLO my name is Boitshepo Themba but everyone calls me Bee I’m a South African girl from Soweto. I am asking for help to teach English in China.
Not so long I was diagnosed with Pseudotumour Cebri/ idiopathic intracranial hypertension and other unexplainable neurological problems some which almost left me nearly blind, with serious migraines and the inability to do the most basic of tasks but I wasn’t the type of person to let that get me down. The one thing that kept me pushing day after day was my dream to became an English teacher Abroad.
That’s when I made a decision which I knew would give my life hope when all seemed hopeless and I enrolled into a TEFL (teaching English as a foreign Language) course the day although my health took a turn for the worse but little did I know that day will be the first step to changing my life. It made me stronger and I spent each day studying in hospital with all encouragement from friends and family. Evenly months later I not only was I healing and got discharged but I graduated with my TEFL Certificate. Now I’m ready to take on the world and teach abroad. I applied for an internship to teach in China and not after a while a got a reply. This was an opportunity for me to teach throughout china. It took me a couple of weeks to get over the exhilarating moment.
This was like a dream come true.
Expect my dream is yet to become a reality. I grew believing the universe conspires to help dreamers. Teaching and traveling have been my passion since I was a little girl being able to make a change in the lives of young children so much so as some of my past educators have done for me.
