Greetings of kindness and generosity!

I am Jamaika Ann S..Cal, mother of a 1 year old baby who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia last June 2020 at Davao City, Philippines.

My baby's name is Ryzy Amaris Cal, she was born perfectly healthy and normal on June 3, 2019. She was healthy as a baby but that changed a few days before her 1st birthday. We started noticing a lump, wherein we found out that its called chloroma (myeloid sarcoma, leukemia mass) on the time of her diagnosis. This lump grew big that her left eye seem to come out from its place. She had 4 sessions of chemotherapy. 1 induction and 3 consolidations. Her last chemo hit her hard that she developed pneumonia, sepsis, stress gastritis and heart enlargement. Despite all this, Ryzy remained strong and brave. We hit remission since July 2020 but chemo ended last November 2020. After almost 6 months from the hospital, we were discharged last December 2020.

Ryzy being out of the hospital was out of the happiest moment of our lives but the moment is short-lived. Ryzy's platelets has been dropping constantly. She was even admitted because her platelet dropped to 10. Her doctor then decided to have bone marrow biopsy. Just this April 5, 2021 her biopsy revealed that her leukemia relapsed, meaning her leukemia has comeback.

Her doctor highly recommended that Ryzy should undergo a bone marrow transplant. The cost of that procedure is 3-4 million pesos including the pre-transplant tests. and other hospital bills. We do not have the financial capacity to give that kind of procedure to our baby. We have been jobless because of this pandemic, my husband has been laid-off from work because of this health crisis. As of now, our only means to survive is selling tablea and disinfect sprays.

We are knocking on your kind and generous hearts to please help us raise the funds for her bone marrow transplant. Please let us be part of this little girl's cure. Let us help her have a chance in this life. We know the amount is gigantic but nothing is impossible if we truly believe and help one another.

We just finished her induction chemotherapy today. She has developed a rash from her chemotherapy drug called Cytarabine. She has rashes on most parts of her body and is very itchy. Ideally, her consolidation would be a bone marrow transplant but since we don't have the desired amount yet, she. . . . .
