Help Baby Rian’s HEART SURGERY

As the parents of baby Jesse Rian, we are knocking on your generous hearts to help us raise funds for her upcoming HEART SURGERY this May 2019 at the Philippine Heart Center. We are in need of financial assistance to help us with the operation and medications.

Our baby was born on October 5, 2017 weighing only 1.94 kg, considered low birth weight. She was admitted for a week and was given proper medication. On February 2018, we observed that she turns bluish when crying, easily gets tired and breaths rapidly. Her pediatrician referred us to a Pedia-Cardiologist at PHC. Doctor heard a murmur and requested for a 2D echo, she was then diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), a Congenital Heart Disease. It is a birth defect in which there is a hole in the wall of the heart. This opening affects the heart’s ability to pump efficiently thus makes it works harder. The extra pressure made can also gives permanent damage to the lungs.

Her doctor prescribed medicines that could help Rian’s condition while hoping that the hole will eventually close but after a year of taking Lanoxin syrup, Furosemide papertabs and Captopril papertabs still, it did not progress. Our little girl is still underweight and has suffered from bouts of bronchopneumonia as a direct result of her condition. She was confined on March 2018, September 2018 and February 2019 due to the said complication.

To finally treat VSD, Rian will have to undergo Open Heart Surgery. This, along with the post-op care and other related expenses, will costs around Php 300,000 (roughly USD 6,000).

Any amount that you can spare will mean so much to our family and can give our little Rian new lease on life. Please help us raise funds so that our daughter can lead a full and healthy life.
