Help Baby Reign’s Hydrocephalus Shunting Operation

Hi everyone!

We are launching a fundraising initiative to help finance the operation of baby Reign Penales. She is currently 10 months old and lives with her family in Marinduque. She was born on November 30, 2019 at the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center. Her hydrocephalus was detected at 5 months AOG (age of gestation). She is currently diagnosed to have alobar HPE hydrocephalus.

Staff from the DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) Marinduque recently visited her family’s house to check on her condition. Due to the large size of her head, her eyesight and hearing are already impaired. In addition, she frequently experiences bed sores since her movement is limited. We are already looking for government hospitals here in the Philippines where she can be operated at the soonest possible time. It is estimated that the operation will cost around Php 250,000.00 (US$ 50,000.00)
