Help Baby Laren’s battle

We were very happy when we found out that we are blessed with the greatest gift from God - our first child. Apparently, during my 7 months I had a pre-eclemsia and have to undergo emergency cesarean section.

On the 3rd day after she was born, the doctor told us that she was in critical condition. Being born as premature, her lungs are weak and not fully develop and a respiratory tube was inserted to help her breath via manual pumping of oxygen.

The hospital doesn’t have enough number of incubators and ventilators to support her so we decided to transfer her to a private hospital with better facility which is vital for her survival.

Now, our daughter is currently admitted at Mother Teresa of Calcutta at the PICU (Pedia- Intensive Care Unit) for more than 3 weeks already.

She was diagnosed with RDS (Respiratory Distress Syndrome) breathing struggles, as of now her platelet and rbc went down and blood transfusion has to be done because they detected an infection in her body and they did a minor operation where they transferred her swerer from navel to neck.

She is also suffers from apnea from time to time. A condition in which a baby periodically stops breathing for more than 15 to 20 seconds

The doctors are able to keep her safe, trying to cure her with the help of ventilators, medications, blood transfusion, antibiotics and more up until today.

Currently, we are waiting for the results of the blood transfusion. As per doctor's prognosis, she needs to stay in PICU for 3 weeks more or until her vital signs are ok and more importantly once she is able to breathe room air without oxygen.

Our little angel needs your help. We are asking for your prayers and also financial funding for her day to day needs. The cost of her stay in the PICU was too expensive that it reached up an estimated 800,000.00 Philippine Pesos (USD15,000.00 ), but we aren’t capable of supporting all the financial needs that are needed for her treatment . As of the moment, our bill in the hospital has reached to P 400,000. (USD 7,800.00)

We have no funds, no savings left. We are only relying for our weekly income to pay even a little amount but still not enough to pay the bill. Our inability to take care of our own daughter’s treatment torments us constantly, and we both are terrified that we will lose her forever.

We are humbly asking for your help to save our daughter’s life. We are asking for your prayers and also financial funding for her day to day needs.
