Campaign Story
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
Last July 24, my sister Sheena gave birth to Johannes Yvo Arcillas Hidalgo - a new addition to their growing family with husband JM and 1yr old daughter Zoey. However, after several tests, they found out that Johann have Tracheoesophageal Fistula. It is a rare birth defect which affects 1 out of 5000 babies and is characterized by an abnormal connection between the esophagus and trachea (windpipe). He was also diagnosed with Pectus Excavatum (sunken or funnel chest), Single Umbilical Artery and Atrial Septal Defect (hole in the wall between the two upper chambers of the heart). Series of operation is needed to close the connection and prevent further complications. Currently, Johann is awaiting his first surgery at the National Children's Hospital in Quezon City.
I, with the rest of our family, ask for your kind hearts for prayers as the family go through this ordeal. Please also share this to your family and friends. Letβs storm the gates of heaven with prayers!
If you feel led and are able to, please also consider donating to help the family with the medical fees which was estimated to cost ~P400,000. Any amount will make a big difference.
For those who don't have Paypal accounts, you can send your donations here
Let us give Johann a chance at a normal life with his family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
God bless!
Erwin
