Baby Evan Grey Ardaniel was born preterm (31 weeks AOG) due to his mother's case of placenta previa.
On August 19, 2018, his mother was rushed to the hospital due to profuse vaginal bleeding and had an emergency cesarean section. Upon birth, he was taken straight to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and immediately received respiratory support from a ventilator.
Because of lung immaturity, he was diagnosed with RDS (Respiratory Distress Syndrome). They needed to put endotracheal tube and give him doses of lung surfactant, a substance that keeps his tiny air sacs open.
He is currently on continuous medication and is still under observation.
He humbly needs your love and support as he continues to fight his battle.
