HELP AZMI ATTEND HIS DOCTORAL DEGREE!!

Dear friends and family. I am Mohd Azmi from Malaysia. I hope this ad finds you well and blessed. This is my story, and why I need fundraising for my education.

Several years ago our father left us and our family and this has crippled our stance as family to stand together be it motivational, financial, and mentally. During the final year of his presence, my mother was abused physically and mentally, and eventually he left us. After years of hardship, I learned to be strong and not let anything stop in my way. I started working two jobs per day, making me the bread winner for my family. During this, I started pursuing my master's degree in full time. I do realize that it has all come to me, the man in the family, and I must rise and take care of my family, especially my mother. I met a wonderful woman along the way and got married, we have a baby now, a son.

He is my life, my little gem that calms my heart during these hard times. Obviously doing two jobs and studying a full time research course is indeed a pain in the a**, but thankfully it has all been a fruitful effort as I have finally been awarded a Master's degree in a convocation last week.

Recently, I have received an offer to pursue my doctoral study in the University of St. Andrews, Scotland for a PhD in Modern History. This has always been my dream to complete my PhD in the UK, as it can help secure a descent employment post in the academia because I have many dependent relying on me.

Unfortunately funding the fees and the cost of living is an obstacle and I need your help!

The money will be used for paying the fees this year, which is 15,300 plus other living expenses since I will be bringing my mother, my wife, and our newborn son.

I should be leaving to the UK on early January 2017, but it all depends on the funding. Your help is very much appreciated, and I wouldn't know what words to describe my gratitude. It has been a very long journey, and I believe that it shouldn't stop. We have to keep moving forward, keep believing, because tomorrow, the sun will still rise, and what matters is, will we (rise)?
