Fundraiser for Auntie Lala's Medical Expenses

November 13, 2020 | Our aunt Lala fell into a coma after showing symptoms of pain in the neck & shoulder, difficulty breathing and vomiting the night before. She was then found unable to wake-up and unconscious in the morning. Her BP was 160/100.

She was rushed to Samboan, then to Malabuyoc Hospital for initial treatment (removal of fluids from her lungs, then given respiratory support etc.), then she was referred to Cebu City as her condition is very critical. She was then rushed from Malabuyoc to Cebu Doctors Hospital the same day. In Cebu Doc, she was initially admitted to a Covid ICU while waiting for her Covid results. After testing negative for Covid, she was then moved to a non-Covid ICU. CT Scan result shows Brain Aneurysm and Mild Hydrocephalus. So far, the options given to her are that she go through surgery or a less (or minimal) invasive technique called Endovascular Coiling. Due to her old age and the 50-50 success rate, the family has decided to not go through with either procedures as her weak body may not survive it and also due to financial constraints. However, since she is still in critical condition, she remains confined in ICU. It's only been 2 days and her hospital bill is running close to Php100,000 already. We are still awaiting for her condition to stabilize and that hopefully she would wake up from her long sleep.

We appreciate your support for Auntie Lala and any amount you put in will go a long way into making sure that Auntie Lala and the family can get through this ordeal. We're hoping that this campaign brings in enough donations to assist in covering the cost of the hospitalization bill and medications.
