Help Ashton FLY!

Hello good people of GoGetFunding,

My name is Ashton and I am 34 years old married man with no kids (and hopefully this will change really soon:). I am originally from Istanbul and I have been living in Brisbane for the last 15 years. I have been wanting to become an airline pilot for many years but unfortunately I have never had the funding to be able to start. I worked hard for it to be able to save up but with limited income there is always other things gets into the way such as rent,bills,sickness in family,loans...etc. Life is not always giving you what you want and you sometimes have to navigate different ways to be able to provide for your family and divert from your career plans so that your family does not struggle. I recently started to look into licencing programs agains for becoming an airline pilot and good news is I can get government help to fund most of the course for being an Australian Citizen (whole course including all endorsements is little over $110.000). Flip side is,unfortunately goverment only supports pilots who has their Private Pilot Licence which also costs around $23.000.

I have studied aviation as an hobby since 2006 and self taught myself almost everything in relation to what I will be required to learn. I knew one day I was going to study it so I never gave up learning more and more each year. At the moment I have the knowledge already unlike many new starting pilots,i have the passion and discipline but unfortunately we are in no position to be able to fund the Private Pilot Licence.

Think about what you can do best in life. If everything was possible what would you like to be able to do and do it the best? For me it is becoming an airline pilot. I know it is in me, but I won't be able to make it real in this life time unless I have some sort of help. A friend of mine told me about GoGetFunding and for the first time in years I feel like my dream might come true and I can prepare better future for my family.
