Campaign Story
Hey everyone! I'm not really sure how to start this, partly because it's 12 a.m. and I just can't fall asleep but mostly because I cannot come to terms with how my heart was stomped on today. June 5, 2008 my little teacup yorkie Angel was born and 8 weeks later I brought her home (she literally fit in my hand!) and since then she's been my partner in crime. Today, which also happens to be National Woman's Day, I brought Angel to the vet after finding a lump under one of her nipples. I learned the devastating news that she has breast cancer. Angel is going to be scheduled for surgery to have this tumor removed and all other mammory glands thoroughly examined, as well as spayed to hopefully (not definitely) prevent any more tumors. I am a single mom and our dog is a lot of the times our sanity in this fast-paced world so please any amount helps us afford this surgery. Thank you
Also - I learned that this all could've been avoided if Angel has been spayed when she was a puppy. However since she was less than 2 pounds our vet at the time had advised us not to go this route because she would most likely not wake up from the anethesia. So please share this information to anyone with a dog so other people do not have to go through tb
