Andiswa Yapi is a 38 year old Xhosa lady from Mount Frere in the Eastern Cape. She is currently living in Khayelitsha, a partially-informal township in Western Cape, South Africa, on the Cape Flats in the City of Cape Town. The name is Xhosa for New Home. Andiswa works as a Cleaning Assistant in the CBD for minimal wages.
On Saturday, 17 October 2020, Andiswa's eldest son, Sibabale, was hit by a car and sadly lost his life. Loosing a child is a tragedy no parent should ever have to suffer.
Unfortunately Andiswa is still in debt after expensive transportation costs to get Sibabale's remains back home the the Eastern Cape. This is a fundraiser to help Andiswa settle any funeral debts and provide some financial support during this difficult time.
