Ancha Adams has been selected for the World 10th WKF YOUTH TRAINING CAMP AND YOUTH WORLD CUP in UMAG CROATIA from the 25 JUNE TO 3 JULY 2017. Unfortunately, due to a shortage in financial assistance, she has to let go of this amazing opportunity. As her father/coach/instructor I'm still praying and hopeful that someone out there will be able to sponsor her with R40 000.00 necessary to make this dream a reality.

If not, and let's be realistic, she has the opportunity to represent her country South Africa in the upcoming Commonwealth Karate Championships in South Africa 31 August till 3 September 2017. Date and host country up to date still the same.

Ancha Adams is a young star on the rise. Ancha grew up in Heidelberg and is still living in Heidelberg. Heidelberg is a town in the Western Cape, on the N2 highway, approximately 274 km east of Cape Town. Heidelberg is well known for its TV actors, namely Christo Davids (Errol Pieterse in 7de Laan), Theodore Jantjies (Xander Meintjies in 7de Laan) and Maurice Paige (Calvin Xavier in Isidingo). Ancha started her karate career in August 2006, only 5 years of age then. From a very young age, she started to compete in our organisation’s sports karate tournaments, only for fun and most importantly, making friends with the students from our other karate dojo’s. Ancha Lauren Adams Athlete Karate Profile Page | 2 She began her competitive sports karate career at the age of 8 years, but was too young for inclusion in a district, provincial or national team. She began to blossom and grew in the competitive arena at the age of 10 years, where she went on to become the Eden Karate champion, the Karate Association Western Cape champion, the Karate South Africa National champion. She was also called up to the Karate South Africa National team and became a Protea karate athlete at 10 years of age. She represented South Africa at the Africa Union Sports Council Region 5 Karate Championships in Johannesburg South Africa and Harare Zimbabwe (2015 / 2016) and won a bronze and silver medal respectively.
