Meet Annamarie Hallig, a 28 year old mother of three children aged 3, 8 and 10 and my fiancée.
She is currently hospitalized in HealthServ Hospital located in Los Banös, Philippines.

The reason why she is hospitalized is due to the fact that her chemotherapy brought complications with it, both of her kidneys where hit with the chemo and started to fail.
Why she needed chemotherapy is because she had cervical cancer, luckily she has overcome and won against this disease.

A couple of months after her chemotherapy, she started to feel quite fuzzy, drained of energy and in the constant need to sleep.
When consulting a public hospital they told her that she had low blood pressure and needed an blood transfusion as quickly as possible.
She was hospitalized for two days, transfusing three bags of blood and a couple of complications where the reason for this hospitalization.
Allowed to leave the hospital we hoped that the transfusion did their work and everything was going to be ok from now on, we could not have been more wrong.

She still felt tired and in the constant need to sleep.
Two days after leaving the hospital she called me over skype and told me that she had the utmost trouble of breathing, after which she immediately called her mother.
From then on everything went downhill.
The doctor diagnosed that both of her kidneys failed, whereby her body could not cleanse her blood anymore.
She would need to get to an hospital asap, as her life was and still is in grave danger.
Water was filling her longs in the same time, explaining the trouble she has with breathing.

Unable to find an ambulance willing to deliver her to Manilla to get towards a public hospital the help of the mayor was called in, he could only help with calling an ambulance for the nearest private hospital.
The nearest by hospital is HealthServ Hospital, where she stays upon this day.
They immediately pumped out the water out of her lungs as soon as she arrived, the next day she got a renal dialysis.

Everything all and well, except for one thing forgotten by the family.
The bills keep on coming in, and they are unable to pay them.
In the past i took care of paying for her chemotherapy, but i am unable to pay the current amount in one time, which is needed to get her back home.
The current estimate, as i can’t see the bills myself i can’t give an exact number, is that it would take about 130,000 Philippine Pesos to pay for all the medical costs.
This equates to about 2,800 USD, and it keeps raising every day she stays in the hospital.
She is not allowed to leave the hospital as long as the bills are not paid, nor will she receive any further treatment.
This practice is quite common in the Philippines, it goes even further that would she die right now they would not release her body to be buried as long as the bills are not payed.

Should there be any remaining funds left after paying the bills, these would be used to buy a dialysis machine so she can do a renal dialysis at the comfort of her home where she can enjoy the presence of her children close to her.

Please help me help Annamarie Hallig, i can’t say how grateful me and Annamarie both would be.
She has went through a lot, but she does not stop fighting to be there for her children.
Give her the chance to see them grow, it is her only wish right now.

With thanks and a lot of love,
André.
