This appeal is on behalf of Victoria Tefu.
Victoria has worked for our family as a domestic worker for the last 7 years and is a truly wonderful, kindhearted lady who asks for very little. Victoria has endured many struggles through out her life and has had many losses . As an example, she single-handedly helped to financially support her niece when her sister died unexpectedly.
The reason for the appeal is that last Thursday evening her home, near Polokwane, South Africa, was robbed. The robbers broke her roof, and damaged her doors. When she went home on Friday, she found that they had emptied out her home. They took her gas stove, two plate oven, microwave, kettle, pots, dishes, clothes iron, cutlery, food, clothing, her lounge suite, linen and blankets . They devastatingly damaged her roof getting in and stole all the ceiling material that she had painstakingly saved for and had bought and paid off over the period of a year. She was planning on completing her roof and ceiling this December.
Victoria is devastated as she basically has to start saving again from the start.
As Victoria comes from an impoverished community, works hard for her money and has painstakingly saved for what she has in this world, she would be so deeply appreciative for any help and love that could be shown to her. Essentially any help would mean the world to this wonderful, honest and generous woman!
