Asia Student Summit 2018 Fundraising for Alexandra

Hi! I am Maria Alexandra Janneth Del Carmen from Bago City, Negros Occidental, a newly graduate of the pioneer batch 2017 – 2018 of the Senior High School program at La Consolacion College – Bacolod and incoming Freshmen at University Of Negros Occidental – Recoletos.

Recently, this 11^th of May 2018, I am selected to be one of the participants from the 3,014 applicants all around the world in the Asia Student Summit Session 2, which will be held on July 16^th – 20^th 2018 at Seoul – South Korea.

Asia Student Summit is about gathering, empowering and nurturing youth leaders around the globe to be an instrument of development in their countries through learning, exploring and widening the youth's perspective on the role and impact of the education system, entrepreneurship, and technology to the market and other aspects - how it fuels the improvement of a country, specifically South Korea, and be able to bring that learning back to contribute it to their respective countries in terms of development.

I strongly believe that education is the key for any nation to improve and it starts with the youth. As the famous line of our Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal goes, “Ang Kabataan ay ang pag-asa ng ating bayan.” I value the importance of education and I want to invest on learning as much as I can because I know for a fact that my country will need my help in the near future.

With these, I am humbly asking for your help in making this rare opportunity happen. The funds will be used for my registration fees and fight fares for the summit. Our world continuously invest on the platforms of our youth, therefore, I believe starting with a person who is passionate and dedicated is already a one step ahead to improvement.
