Help Adri’s Mom!

“I wouldn’t go this far, only to come this far.”

This is how I live up and hold on to life everyday. I know and understand that we do have our own battles we fight everyday, and now I am knocking at your most kindest hearts to help me face this one. I am 19 years old, female, and currently taking up BS Accountancy program at De La Salle Lipa, but more than that, I am a daughter of the most wonderful, selfless and tough woman who is now suffering from an unusual medical condition. She is a loving BREADWINNER our family and is an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) based in Kuwait for three (3) years. But a very unexpected and tragic event happened sent her back home when she woke up unable to walk. Before that, she’s been in and out of the hospital for having an on-and-off fever which sometimes is followed by fainting. She is also suffering from different pains all over her body which deprived her of sleeping and eating for almost 3 weeks. After knowing her condition, our family have decided and begged her employer to send her back home to us because there is not a single day or night that my mom cried to us because of her condition. Almost five (5) months have passed, she is still unable to walk, still with no explanation, as results( X-rays, MRI, laboratory tests) were clear that there is nothing wrong with her spinal cord and bones. With continuous hospitalization, undergoing several series of tests, our family is left with nothing because aside from being the ONLY PROVIDER of our family who solely took all the responsibilities at home, she is also a SINGLE PARENT. Now, she is suffering from a inexplainable chest pain that elevates up to the throat making her unable to eat or even drink. She had lost weight and her immune system is getting weaker and weaker day by day. As much as we want her to be checked, we do not have enough money to do the doctor’s request of Chest CT-Scan with contrast and another MRI. We are advised by doctors to admit her but our main problem is in financial terms. This is because she went home with nothing but her salary for the last month.

It took me a lot of courage to do this fundraising campaign as I am afraid that people might be thinking that this is just a scam or a modus to have money but I can assure you that all I’ve stated above are written with all honesty and whole of my heart.
