Help My Little Warrior

Adam Constantine, a bubbly son of mine, has been a blessing to our family since the day we found out that I am pregnant of him. My 8 month old child ,an energetic boy, always brought smile to our faces whenever he shows a new milestone. He's never sick; never had cold nor flu. However, though his milestones show that he is not late for his age, we fear that his current condition might hinder him to reach his future milestones timely.

Adam was diagnosed with Callosal hypogenesis associated with a large interhemipheric cyst (9.3 cm Arachnoid cyst). This interhemispheric cyst communicates with the lateral and 3rd ventricles.

When this God's gift was still in my womb, we had a congenital anomaly scan and found out that there's a 3.45cm cyst in his brain, a cyst which caused blockage and eventually led to hydrocephalus. After giving birth, we had a regular monthly check up with his Neuro Pedia and undergone cranial ultra sounds to observe whether the initially measured 3.45cm is developing. Just recently, Adam undergone an MRI and noted that the cyst has delveloped into a 9.3 cm mass. This cyst have a lot of effects, among others - vision deficiency and hinders the proper development of his corpus callosum. We were then advised by his neuro surgeon to have him undergo a VP Shunt procedure and endoscopic fenestration. Those procedures will help to drain the water and cyst in his brain.

These procedures are advised to be done sooner as the cyst, if not removed, might cause mass effect to his brain. Sad to hear, but the brain might stop developing.

As the mother of this bundle of joy, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to ask for your financial assistance to enable my son undergo a Ventriculoperiteneal Shunt and help him have a normal joyful life. Estimated cost for the operation and other hospital bill is Php 250,000 to 300,000.00. We sincerely request for your time and support. No amount is too small to contribute for Adam's future.
