Help Abot Tala Stay Open for Teens

School should be a happy time for young people, but for some, they drag themselves every morning to a place they dread. For some students, school is just not working out for them and though they wish for a way out, they don’t know if options exist. That is why a place like Abot Tala should continue to stay open for young people who yearn to direct their own path in life and education, unencumbered by the one-size-fits-all, standardized curriculum. There may also be homeschooling families whose teens are looking for a regular community to join.

Abot Tala is what school could be if we could redefine and redesign it. Weekly one-on-one mentoring sessions ensure that learning is personalized. Classes are determined by the interests and passions of the students and mentors. For the 21st century learner, skills like creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration are paramount, while applied knowledge is more desirable.

Abot Tala opened in April 2019 and our space is located in Tres Palmas, Taguig. We have not reached our target number of members and because of this, we need help in paying for the operational expenses particularly rent, so that we can continue to serve the community.

We want to see every learner who journeys with Abot Tala pursue their purpose with intention and make their dreams come true.
