On January 30- February, 2020, I will be joining WIMUN 2020 in New York, New York. All expenses for this event will be shouldered by the delegates. 250 USD is for the registration fee, 365 USD is for accommodation, 10 USD is for the payment processing fee, 1,500 USD is for the estimated airfare expense and 875 USD is for the visa fee and other expenses with a total of 3,000 USD (153,000 pesos) needed funding.

WFUNA International Model UN (WIMUN is organized by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). WIMUN is the most accurate and realistic simulation of the United Nations and features the WIMUN approach, intensive training workshops taught by UN officials, briefings on important agenda items by UN Agencies, and sessions in the heart of New York City. More than 1,000 youth from around the globe will gather for a four-day program with educational and simulation components. There will be a high school track, and the participants will have the opportunity to engage in simulations of the the UN Security Council, the UN General Assembly, and the UN Economic and Social Council.

At WIMUN, we aim to foster global citizenship in our youth by educating them on current and relevant issues that the United Nations and international community is facing and to equip them with the skills to research, negotiate, and resolve those issues together. All topics discussed at WIMUN are current items being considered by the UN itself on its Agenda, and participants are taught to prepare with UN resources and documentation in online webinars prior to the conference. With students coming from over 70 different countries and Secretariat members from every inhabited continent, WIMUN is the most diverse conference in the world and reflects the wide, international membership of the United Nations.

I am Aubrey Jessa T. Tambiao, an incoming Grade 12 – STEM student of St. Paul University Philippines. I've been joining international math competition and won several medals. I am also accelerating in academics.

I was delighted to find this kind of opportunity and decided to apply for this event because I am sure it would strongly enrich my future studies and help me in my prospective career. Moreover, I consider this event as a great opportunity to get in touch with American culture and educational system.

As a special added value of this event I find the opportunity to network with other professional from the World, which is an exceptional opportunity for horizontal exchange of experience. I perceive this also as an occasion to familiarize with good practices as a channel for my personal development.

As an accepted participant, I am asking for your help to let me represent my country, Philippines.

I am confident you will find my campaign as a worthwhile investment. My attendance at this conference is a wise investment and will pay off for years to come.

Thank you very much!
