My name is Riley Locke and I am about to enter my sophomore year at Oklahoma State University located in the heart of Oklahoma. I have filed with many scholarship organizations and have also received funding from FAFSA, but am still coming up short. So I need your help! After reviewing what I paid for college my freshmen year, I have determined that I am about $8,000 short of what I need. I was able to avoid taking out student loans my freshmen year, so with the public’s help, I hope I will be able to have the same good fortune again this year.
What I do at OSU:
I am currently pursuing a bachelor of science in architecture at OSU. The demand for these courses is high and many students find themselves unable to cope with the demanding schedule. Somehow, I managed to overcome the odds and power my way through freshmen year with a fantastic grade in my first architectural studio. This grade did come with a price. Nearly every project I undertook in studio required the students to purchase their own supplies. As you can imagine, this added up very quickly. My grandparents were able to help me out by sending money to cover these expenses. Unfortunately, our economic situation is much worse this year and I would rather not ask them for anymore aid.
So guys if you can help me out in any way possible, it would be GREATLY appreciated. If any of you have accumulated student loan debt from college, you must know the burden that it brings (my grandparents have told me enough times). Any and all money that is received from this fundraiser will go directly to the Office of the Bursar and/or the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid at Oklahoma State University.
Thank you so much guys and if you have any questions, please ask me!
