Help a single dad take his son to Canada!

Hi everyone my name is Jerry Martin, I am a 72 year old single father with an 8 year old son. His name is Jeremy and he lives with me here in the Philippines. I am a Canadian citizen but have resided in the Philippines for 11 years.

I was married to Jeremy's mother but we separated 6 years ago. Over those 6 years I successfully applied for Canadian citizenship and a Canadian passport for Jeremy and he is now a dual citizen of the Philippines and Canada.

My dream is to take Jeremy to see Canada for the first time after his school year ends in March. My problem is that for the last 3 years I have been surviving on a very small pension of only $540.00 a month Canadian (about $465.00 US). And have no savings or assets of any kind. We live a very simple life and only eat basic rice meals. The highlight of each month is to go to McDonald's when my pension arrives.  

I would be very happy and grateful if this campaign successfully raised the money we need to fund Jeremy's trip to Canada so he can meet some of his relatives and view the beauty of the Vancouver area.

I have done much research and found that we will need $7,500.00 US to fully fund our trip to Canada. That amount will cover domestic and International airfare, basic accommodations, rental car, food, and emergency money.  

Although Jeremy's mother and I no longer live together we are good friends and she is very excited that Jeremy might be able to visit Canada to learn about his heritage. Her great desire is that he will go to college in Canada when he gets older.
