I am Yemeni refugee mother, I have two sons.
I left Yemen to escape from my husband and my family after tirelessly trying to persuade my husband not to participate in the war. My husband told methat he intends to take my children for forced conscription to join the Houthi Resistance Army. I did not agree and tried to convince him that they were still children. I told him that I will not send them for recruitment. I will not make them carry weapons instead of pens, I want them to complete their education so that they have a better future. I was living in anxiety every day, I didn't know what to do, I asked my brother for help to talk to my husband and convince him — but he shocked me when he declared that he didn't see any problem with my children going for war like their father because there is no other option to make money.I realized then that my children and I were in danger and there was no one to help and protect us, so I decided to save my children. And so we ran away. I found out that Rwanda accepts Yemeni passports without a visa, so went there. The first thing I did upon arrival Was visit the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCR) seeking asylum and protection, they referred me to the Rwandan Immigration Office. They have given me time for the permit to expire on May 15, 2022, I'm not sure what they will decide on our case. I do not have the UNHCR card, afraid if they deport us from the country, I have nowhere to go, Yemen is impossible for me.

No woman escapes from her family in Yemen and then comes back, surely she will be killed if they find her.
My children must be in school, but I cannot afford their studies and public life at the moment, I am looking forward to having a safe place and being able to allow my children to continue their studies for a better future.

This is a temporary asylum permit for me and my children in Rwanda .

Pictures of my children's school cards and pictures of them going to school in wanda and currently they can't go because I don't have the money to pay tuition fees or ransportation.
